The newly commissioned 13th company has chosen their first Asukari, the leader of the elite security forces: Akwete.

As a young girl, she lived in the Sudan, a lawless land terrorized by a merciless horde called Devils on horseback. One day the Devils brutally attacked her village, leaving her orphaned. Bereft of family and home, the young Akwete found a new life in New E.din, her adoptive home where she has grown strong and hardened by her experiences.
It is the eve of Akweteâ€™s first day of command.

A distress signal has been received from Uhuru, the capital city. Devils on Horseback are attacking the city. As she drills her team for their first strike, Akwete is caught between wanting to prove herself as a leader, a fierce and bold Asukari, and avenging the decimation of her family.
