The hori hori knife is a cross between a hand trowel and a knife - a powerful multiuse tool for digging, planting and also great as a weeder.

The 7.5 inch (19cm) stainless steel blade has a mirror polish finish and unlike some hori knives, both edges are sharpened. There is a straight edge and a serrated edge - ideal to saw through tough roots (for instance when dividing clump forming perennials) and other landscaping and gardening jobs.

The blade is a little longer than other digging knives, to give you that extra depth and purchase when digging. Its concave (slightly rounded) shape makes it perfect for scooping soil, and the blade is slightly offset to give extra leverage.

Allows for precision cutting of turf, reducing disruption to a minimum (very important for metal detecting)

The Sensei Hori-Hori knife has a tough black contoured and textured handle which fits perfectly in your hand - much more secure and easier to use than wood handle knives - so that you have a firm grip that never slips.

The blade has a depth scale marked on one side, so you know exactly how deep you're digging - especially useful when planting bulbs.
