Originally formulated in Germany, Muenster is a semi-soft cheese, that is mild and creamy. Excellent for melting. Muenster is delicious in omelets, scrambled eggs, quiches. Mild when young, mellows with age. Traditionally a washed-rind cheese. Ideal for table, slicing, and melting. Shred over hot vegetables or steamed rice. Loaf size is approximately 6 pounds, but because this is a natural cheese, the weight will vary slightly.
