The 10416 is an improved version of Slice's original popular micro-ceramic blade Precision Cutter (model no. 00116). We listened to customers and incorporated their suggestions into this state-of-the-art update. We also kept all the good features that made it a fan favorite to begin with. The 10416 is a safer way to approach cutting. Slice developed a unique finger-friendly blade edge that cuts your materials effectively, but makes it harder to cut yourself. The 10416 features a new oval handle to prevent your cutter from rolling away. Its textured, anti-slip grip gives you ultimate control and the safety cap can be stored on the end of the tool while you're working. The micro-ceramic blade is housed in a replaceable cartridge so you never have to buy a new handle. Depending on how much you use this gem, though, you may never have to replace the blade cartridge, either! Slice blades last up to 11 times longer than equivalent metal blades, saving you time and money. When you're ready, simply twist and pull to change the cartridge. Don't let the blade's tiny size fool you: this strong ceramic edge can cut right through most thin materials. It's ideally suited to intricate cutting or scraping, and works well on: freezer paper, most kinds of craft paper, washi tape, laminating film, Ultracote, and even thin clamshell packaging. Colored-pencil and scratchboard artists love the precise blade for scraping out details like fur or hair. The 10416 is also great for making tiny score marks in thicker, soft materials like modelling balsa wood or FIMO. The 10416 handle is compatible with Slice 10418 blade cartridges. We recommend that you always use a cutting mat. Never scrape the blade against hard surfaces like concrete.
