About the author
Jorgen Johansson was a traditional backpacker for decades until he started using and adapting ultralight and lightweight backpacking techniques to the demanding environment of the tundra mountains of northern Europe.He has hiked in many areas of the northern hemisphere,including the Alps, Ireland, Canada, Alaska and other parts of the US.
He has published the well received Smarter Backpacking as well as several books on backpacking in Swedish. Apart from his books he also contributes articles to outdoor magazines and holds courses and lectures on lightweight hiking techniques. He lives just north of Stockholm, Sweden.
