Easy-to-Use: Compact, handheld, and durable, our Solarmeter Blue Light Tester features simple single-button operation and an easy-to-read LCD Display; Powered by one 9-volt DC Battery (included), this UVC light meter boasts NIST Traceable accuracy
About Us: Solarmeter by Solar Light Company Inc. is the industry standard for UV and visible light radiometers that measure both indoor and outdoor light sources; Our NIST Traceable meters are used to monitor lamp irradiance and aging for UV sterilization, reptile husbandry, indoor tanning, red/blue light phototherapy, UV curing, and UV Index
The Model 7.0 Erythemally Effective (Eeff) Meter (MED/hr) uses a Silicon Carbide (SIC) Photodiode packaged in hermetically sealed UV glass window cap. Interference filter blocks UV above erythermal response. Applications include monitoring UV lamp intensity and aging, monitoring instantaneous UV in MED/hr, comparison of sources in MED/hr, measuring lamp / solar intensity in MED/hr, and tracking of UV in MED-hr over time. To operate, press and hold push-button switch on face of unit. Aim sensor window in top panel of meter directly at UV source. For tanning beds place meter at body position. Note reading on LCD and record if desired. Battery operation voltage is 9V down to 6.5V. Below 6.5V the LCD numbers will begin to dim, indicating the need for battery replacement. Under typical service load, the battery should last approximately 2 years.
