Something New Under the Son [Original 1993 CD Reissue]
. . . as a 1993 surprise we are also releasing the European Verion of "Something New Under The Son." When it was first released in America a
lot of people weren't into the blues very much and many were disappointed that this was not similar to In Another Land. But as the years went
by this became one of Larry's most popular albums. It contained blues shuffles like "Hard Luck Bad News" blues ballads like "Feeling So Bad",
story telling blues like "I Feel Like Dying" and "Born To Be Unlucky," and of course, the rocking apocalyptic "Watch What You're Doing." It
also contained performance staples like "Leaving The Past Behind" and "Put Your Life Into His Hands," the revelational "Nightmare #97" and
just for fun rocker "Let That Tape Keep Rolling" This is probably the first Christian album of all original blues ever recorded (back in
1976) and we have included three Bonus Tracks: "Twelve Good Men" (demo of the version written for Voyage of the Vigilant), and "It's Only
Today That Counts" (the original long rock version from Ophans From Eden) have never been heard before. "Deep Blue" (from Island In The Sky),
was once available on the vinyl pressing of "Barking At The Ants," now long out of print. (from the Solid Rock/Phydeaux 1993 newsletter at
time of release).
