Blackfoot is an American Southern rock band from Jacksonville, Florida originally formed in 1970â€™s by Rickey Medlocke, current lead guitarist of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Though they are primarily a Southern rock band, Blackfoot has always been defined by their hard rock edge, evident on their most successful singles â€œTrain, Trainâ€ and â€œHighway Song.â€ In 2012, Medlocke recruited a completely new line-up of the band to continue the music of Blackfoot for new generations. They have toured extensively the past several years, introducing the new members and new Blackfoot music.
