Angela Duckworth is a psychologist who won a MacArthur Fellowship in 2003. She is known for her study of grit. She provides her own experiences with grit, not just from her perspective of trying to be a respectable psychologist, but even in her personal life and with her daughters, who she has been an example to. Duckworth proves that grit is out there and that anyone in an any profession, from professional swimmer to manager of a well-known chain, even a garbage man, can have grit. Duckworth admits that there are still questions unknown about grit; however, the signs of it are right of in our face and it is possible to achieve the trait.
