Sunday School Killers: Oklahoma soccer mom consumed by lust, greed and evil
Early review of "Sunday School Killers" ---- "Excellent story. Could not put it down. Will be happy to hear when the killers last appeals have been denied. Then justice can be served." Amazon.com reader ------- "Sunday School Killers" is based on a real life case in 2001, which was profiled on the television news program, "20/20." That episode was also called "Sunday School Killers."
An Oklahoma father Bob Stevens, 39, is barbarically shot at point blank range with a shotgun two days before Thanksgiving. The case receives maximum publicity in the Oklahoma City media market. Police stumble in their initial investigation. A private investigator, Wayne Chandler, helps to kick start the probe into the vicious killing. The murder has left two children fatherless. The victim's father is heartbroken and demanding justice for his slain son. Accusations emerge that Stevens' wife has engaged in a series of infidelities over the past years. She's a Sunday school teacher at a new mega church in Oklahoma City. Some suspicions linger against her and fellow co-Sunday school teacher Jim Mott. But could the woman, 110 pounds, actually have killed her husband with two children in the other room? Wayne Chandler, a Gulf War Marine veteran, isn't satisfied. He looks into the crime and uses his instincts and charm to get to the bottom of the case. "Sunday School Killers" is a compelling story, rooted in a 2001 case, which commanded full attention by the Oklahoma City press. "Sunday School Killers" will have you quickly reading each page as you look to see how Wayne Chandler, and his charisma, can get to the truth. Lose yourself in a drama which, in real life, had hundreds of thousands of Oklahomans on the edge of their seats with the story's many twists and turns. This is all part of "Sunday School Killers."
Author's Note: I had planned this book for 10 years. Yet only this year did it finally come together for me. I got a very anxious for it to be released. As one reviewer pointed out, there were a few minor issues with the copy. I've taken care of that.
