Yes it should work with her in front of you...that's how we usually ride with my two year old on the 4 wheeler...the only thing I would be worried about would be if you were trotting it might a little loose depending on the size of your daughter.

Can you define custom hip sizes, also sizing for kids?
I believe that should read, common hip sizes. I have a 2 year old granddaughter that rides in front of me on horseback, it fits her well because it is adjustable, it also fits me well for the same reason, and there is plenty of room for adjustment, 3 adults have used this with my granddaughter, it works great!
