Secrets of Daniel The Wisdom and Dreams of a Jewish Prince in Exile
Interest in the validity of the year-day principle, the Antiochus interpretation, and the judgment in Daniel 7 prompted the committee to publish its investigations in the book of Daniel in a piecemeal fashion. This book, volume 2 of a seven-part series on Daniel and Revelation, should be studied with the remaining volumes of the series.
This book is arranged in two divisions. The first deals with those essays dealing with crucial questions on authorship, unity, dating of the book's composition, and the origin of the Antiochus interpretation. The second division deals with exegetical studies on major passages in Daniel 2 and 8, noting certain links with chapters 11-12. Also included are word studies on key terms and expressions such as "evening-morning," "daily-continual," and "cleanse/make right."
