FAST AND EASY TO INSTALL
PERMANENT REPAIR FOR CRACKED TARMAC /ASPHALT PAVEMENT
TORCH-ON PROCEDURE GUARANTEES PERFECT "WELD"
RECOMMENDED PRODUCT - HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT APPROVED LOWEST PRICE - 33 FEET OF STICK-DOWN & GAS TORCH-ON OVERBANDING TAPE Tarmac Overbanding Tape, burn-on to seal re-instatement works and repair cracks, torch-on application prevents the ingress of water and extends the life of the repair without the time needed to melt pots of bitumen. High quality bitumin overbanding, 2" wide INSTRUCTIONS - Sweep the area clean from dust and water, (apply torch beforehand to dry any wet areas) stick tape across the joint removing the separation layer as you go. Lightly torch over the tape to melt it into the jointed line, (kiln dried sand or grit can be sprinkled onto the hot tar joint if additional "non-slip" is needed), The joint will then be waterproof and "welded" together for a long lasting repair. Melts quickly, faster than other brands, uses less gas and seeps into the join more easily to improve the "weld" and dries harder & stronger in about 10 mins......... Can also be used upright in clean cut edges with new Tarmac trench reinstatement to guarantee a sealed joint. This tape is supplied in 33 foot long rolls (most other brands are only 15ft long and only 1" wide) OUR 2" wide is the best for long trench reinstatement and is trafficable within a few minutes after completion, AND IT'S THE LOWEST PRICE PER FOOT. A polymer modified bituminous strip for use as an instant waterproof overbanding seal for small cracks or reinstatement joints up to 1/4" wide. For use on both road pavements and secondary roads. The application of the tape prevents the ingress of water which causes cracking and severe fretting leading to the eventual breakdown of the asphalt pavement. The skid resistance can be increased by covering the tape with granite dust or kiln dried sand during torch on procedure, providing a surface value similar to that of the existing road surface.
