The 2 Position Guitar Scale System: Beginner eBook
Get Started the Right Way with Guitar Scales
The study of scales on the guitar is one of the fundamental keys to being able to improvise with confidence and technique. If you’re curious about how to go about improvising on the guitar, there are many methods available; all of which will claim to have you sounding like [insert name of famous guitarist] in no time at all. I don’t make any such promises but after more than 20 years playing the guitar, trying all the scales systems and methods of learning to improvise, this is my definitive method for learning how to improvise, and probably the only one worth teaching in my humble opinion.
I have broken the subject of scales down to its fundamental building blocks - 2 simple patterns and a method with which to play them all over the fretboard without becoming a slave to endless patterns and permutations as in the CAGED and the 3NPS (three-note-per-string) Systems. I would never discourage you from experimenting with the aforementioned systems; they are good for building technique, which shouldn’t be confused with learning how to improvise.
This eBook is designed with the beginner who wants to make sense of scales in mind. We’ll be looking at the essential rock and blues scales, and giving you the keys to play them all over the fretboard.
