Henrietta “Etta†Brasier lives a perfectly happy life in sunny L.A. as an emergency room doctor at Olympia Medical Center. She has a rigid, regimented, safe existence alone with her cat, Matty. As Christmas approaches, Etta grows restless. She hasn’t been home in two years for a reason. Her upper crest family’s expectation of a woman of the Brasier bloodline is to marry well and produce children, neither of which Etta has succeeded at.
In order to appease her family, straight laced Etta hires an escort, “John Archerâ€, to pretend to be her neurosurgeon boyfriend over for the holiday season with the Brasier clan. Can Etta and John pull off the charade and appease the Brasiers? Or will Etta have dropped twenty-five grand on a call boy for naught?
