How to maximize your creative potential
I believe that creativity should be approached strategically, this book will show you a number of steps from the worlds of psychology & neurolinguistic programming in combination with some tales of my own journey into creativity and on the open road. Learn how to make the most of your time, resources and energy.
5 clear steps to reaching your creative potential
1. Self-discovery – this step is about looking within for clues that will lead you in the right direction 2. Clarity – this step is about gaining a level of focus over your direction 3. Confidence – as you proceed along your path, confidence will increase the amount of action you take, as this rises, the results will come. 4. Momentum – building on from confidence, momentum is about entering the state of flow more an more often. As your momentum builds, you will be carried through the tougher challenges by an enhanced state of mind. 5. Reward – this stage is, for many, the happy moment when you begin to get the recognition you deserve.

The book contains a number of references to NLP that will heighten your senses, and assist you on your journey to mastery. It includes a number of the NLP principles such as perceptual positions, cause and effect, no failure only feedback and many more.
Evolutionary psychology
I also delve into the realm of evolutionary psychology, on a mission to discover the possible evolutionary origins of creativity. By exploring the environment of evolutionary adaptedness (EEA) which is the space that our ancient ancestors inhabited we can unfold some of the mysteries of this seemingly counter-intuitive trait. I also draw parallels between other creative animals, and the science behind those behaviours.
I have been writing on and off since my life-changing backpacking trip to India, aged 19. Since that experience I have had a self-directed apprenticeship, traveling extensively through South America and Asia, studying a masters in evolutionary psychology and developing my skills as a writer and musician. My passion is the creative process and as such I have explored the inner workings of geniuses such as da Vinci, Darwin and Hendrix
