The Fourteenth Amendment: Historic Supreme Court Decisions (LandMark Case Law)
This title is superseded by the Second Edition, which contains concurring and dissenting opinions. See ASIN: B008A80D7E
This casebook is a collection of the landmark cases of the Supreme Court's interpretation of the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. The text of each case contains the page numbers of the official reporter for purposes of reference and citation.
The book also contains a copy of the US Constitution.
The Amendment's Due Process and Equal Protection Clauses directly affect the civil rights of all Americans. It is the reason why the 14th Amendment is cited in more litigation than any other amendment. It was ratified on July 9, 1868 and is a part of the legacy of U.S. Reconstruction after the Civil War.
