The Good News for Atheists, Agnostics, and Secular Humanists (Book of Lists 3)
In his 18th Kindle Direct book, I. M. Probulos shares the Good News. Rejoice!
No, he has not converted; on the contrary, this book explains the benefits of embracing science, reason, and rationality in a crisp and clear format. The gospel is old English for good news; or good tidings; Christians have been sharing their good news for centuries. Today we will learn over 101 specific reasons to celebrate the Good News that we are now free from superstition, dogma, the supernatural, and religion.
The Good News is that we no longer have to: 1. Live in fear and guilt for past or future sins. 2.Pray to a celestial sky-daddy to change the laws of nature and chance. 3.Accept Bronze Age dogma. 4.Endure this life hoping that the afterlife will be better. We’d better get busy and fix this one–it’s all we have. 5.Tell everyone how to live their lives and assert we have a truth when we really don’t.
The Good News is that based on reason, we now have: 1.More personal responsibility, not less. 2.More altruistic reasons for morality, not less. 3.More reasons to help the poor, the sick, and the disadvantaged, not less. 4.More focus on improving our life on Earth, not less. 5.More reliance on man's ingenuity, not less. 6.More inclusion of all living things, not less. 7.More concern for the environment, not less.
Share the Good News with your friends and family; wear a bow tie and white shirt and proselytize to your neighbors on Saturday morning.
