Close friends Zoe, Chloe, and Joey are enjoying their post high school summer at Joeyâ€™s pool, when Zoe, whose parents are scientists working on unusual biological drugs reveals that she has one of their latest creations with her â€“ a Hucow pill! A little interested in the general concept of a Hucow, but unwilling to become a guinea pig, she decides to dare one of her friends into taking it. Thinking that one little pill canâ€™t possibly do anything long term, Joey takes her up on it.

Initially Joey plays along, but doesnâ€™t feel anything at all. Disappointed but accepting that it was a dud, Zoe returns to lounging and so does Joey, up until she get awful thirsty, but thinks nothing of it. In fact, the water tastes really good all of a sudden, and she ends up drinking a lot.

It isnâ€™t until her skin feels tight and her insides heat up that she starts to wonder if that little pill was quite the dud they all thought it was.

What exactly will become of her and her new sensations, and is this whatâ€™s itâ€™s like becoming a Hucow? Or is this because of something else entirely?
