The Illustrated History of Hearst Castle

During the 1920s and 1930s the beautiful 127-acre estate was the social gathering place for many of the era's most famous celebrities,including; Clark Gable, Charlie Chaplin, Howard Hughes and Winston Churchill. The Illustrated History of Hearst Castle uses numerous photographs gleaned from a wide variety of archives; many of them not previously published. The nearly 30-year construction process blended the gardens, pools and buildings with a museum-trove of antiques from Egypt, Greece, Rome and Medieval Europe.
