The Koffin Kats - Inhumane
LIFE IN A BUNGALO zine says the following about the Koffin Kats' album "Inumane":
"The Koffin Kats are the best thing to happen to American psychobilly since The Quakes, and the band's full-length "Inhumane" is sheer genius.
Equal parts scorching punk and grooving rockabilly, "Inhumane" rocks in every way thanks largely to the insane range of singer Vic Victor's voice. I dare any punk rocker to sing along to these tunes and even try to match this guys range. He croons like a bastard child of Glenn Danzig and Dave Vanian.
After the token psychobilly intro tune, The Koffin Kats stray from their traditional sound, destroying everything around them with break-neck speed punk reminiscent of Mad Sin or Demented Are Go. From there its just swinging madness of corpses, demons, zombies and things that cannot be explained.
The best track on the record is the sequel to "Graveyard Tree" from the band's first e.p. "Graveyard Tree II" is a bass-thumping rocker that starts off slow and just builds to this insane climax with a searing guitar solo that begs to go on forever.
This CD is a must for any fan of punk rock. This is not the same old psychobilly formula, nor is this some metal band from Germany passing itself off as rockabilly. This is perfect rock 'n' roll in every way.
