These detailed writings on The Lord s Day first appeared during 1907 in E. W. Bullinger s magazine Things to Come. They later appeared in abridged form in the book Selected Writings, published by the Lamp Press in 1960. This booklet restores all the foot-notes of the original version which, in this edition, are displayed as end-notes. However Bullinger also wrote on The Lord s Day elsewhere. We have added two sections from The Apocalypse, which first appeared in Things to Come in 1900-1901 and in book form in 1902, and later renamed Commentary on Revelation. We have also included a further two extracts from How to Enjoy the Bible, first published in 1907. For readability we have changed the Roman numerals used for the Bible references to the usual Arabic numerals, and have transliterated the Greek. We have also added subheadings and, as foot-notes, editorial comments indicating where Bullinger was later to change his views from that in the text. Bullinger's very last book, 'The Foundations of Dispensational Truth', is also available from The Open Bible Trust's website.
