The sound of Gregorian reflects various influences of its mastermind, successful producer Frank Peterson (the man behind Gregorian, Enigma and multi-million seller artist Sarah Brightman) who has a magic touch when it comes to choosing songs. Every year, Frank Peterson retreats to his studio and his extensive personal music collection to find the perfect songs for the next Masters Of Chant . Peterson s own musical taste is very diverse and ranges from classical to rock which is reflected in a wide variety of songs. However, with Gregorian all of this fits in and forms a unit well-known melodies in a completely new sound transporting the listener into the timeless world of Gregorian chant.

For one more time, the interpretations of iconic pop and rock songs in monk s cowl take the listeners on a fantastic journey across all genres and decades and offer a balanced mix of classic pop and rock from the past and present. Ranging from the melancholic Angel , originally performed by Sarah McLaughlin, to recent chart success by the young British alternative trio London Grammar ( Strong ) to maybe the most recognizable songs from the 80s, Tears For Fears Shout , Gregorian constantly perform at a high level. With two original compositions the hymn Masters Of Chant featuring the stunning Amelia Brightman who also showcases her impressive vocal range on Rihanna s Farewell and one of the album s highlights, the heartwarming ballad Gentle , as well as songs originally performed by Lionel Richie, Bob Dylan, The Beatles and Tracy Chapman, The Final Chapter leaves a mark on the world.
Ending with two songs which couldn t fit better to the occasion - Sarah Brightman s and Andrea Bocelli s hymn Time To Say Goodbye , here performed in a very special Gregorian version, and the last song on the album, Reinhard Mey s Good Night, Companions Gregorian bid farewell with fireworks:
