A bad hand of cards and a sudden storm lead William Brady to a small spice shop in India during World War I. His time in the shop is largely pleasant, as he is a spirited soul, but difference of opinions with the shop owner leads to his acquisition of a mysterious, mummified monkey's paw. Brady returns to his army barracks, paw in hand, intent on playing a joke with his fellow brothers, and the results are chilling.
