Four years ago Lyn Genet was looking for a Flax-Granola and could not find it. Meanwhile, we were baking a Flax Granola but had no idea what to do with it. Those who tried it said; where are the oats and honey and all the salt? We almost gave up but then... One of those unfathomable, unlikely anomalies that defy all logic yet seem to govern all good things, happened. We met Lyn Genet. With Lyn's help, we refined the recipe, improved the packaging and launched our "Plan Friendly" Flax Granola's that she recommends to her clients to this day. If you're on The Plan, you really only need three 12 ounce bags (approx. 9 cups) and with the variety pack you get to try all three of our Plan Friendly flax-granolas and determine your favorite. Even if you're not on "The Plan", our Flax-Granola has changed lives. The combination of healthy fats, high fiber and antioxidants make it a great choice for weight control, detox and a healthy internal balance. Flax is one of the best sources of Omega-3 oils. These "good fats" fight inflammation. When left unchecked, inflammation can lead to many chronic illnesses including; heart disease, arthritis, irritable bowel, diabetes and even depression. The big mistake the other "flax-granolas" make is to add "ground" flax. We only use whole flax seed in our flax granola. Milled or ground flax is rendered worthless as oxidation destroys flax's beneficial oils in a matter of minutes. That is why chewing flax is the best way to release the essential benefits of flax and you WILL chew our crunchy, specially prepared granola-like flax-clusters.
