Description
The Sessions
Two CD set recorded live from Shady Grove, Washington, D.C. 1973 and the Beacon Theatre, NYC 1976. Steve Miller Band first emerged in late 60s and issued a string of blues influenced albums which while being critically acclaimed and well received, never achieved the huge commercial success that they were to achieve in the mid '70s with the more polished AOR Rock. This two CD set perfectly captures the two distinct phases of Steve Miller's career. Disc One, recorded just after the release of the Joker in 1973, strongly echoes the blues roots of the band while Disc Two, recorded in 1976, showcases a band who had evolved into a multi-million selling act, able to challenge the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac as one of the biggest names in Rock. Snapper. 2007.
