It was officially called The Quinn Institute of Relationship Therapy, but according to the internet it was usually referred to as “The Sex Farm†by folks who’d been there, and for good reason. Dr. Hal Quinn and his wife founded the retreat in rural Vermont for heterosexual couples who were experiencing intimacy problems. Four couples were invited for the week’s retreat and they all soon learned how the Institute got its nickname. The Doctors Quinn employed many controversial techniques to “fix†the couples’ intimacy problems, and some were quite participatory.
At week’s end the four couples would experience new hook-ups, much drama, including a near tragedy, and yet go home with renewed sexual energy—but at what cost? One thing for certain was that once they leave The Sex Farm their lives—and relationships—would never be the quite the same again.
