Duke Pearson arranged this rich, swinging 1966 all-star nonet date, a worthy successor to Turrentine's ROUCH N TUMBLE. Stanley is the primary soloist and he burns through Pearson's "The Magilla" and Armando Bozo;s "La Fiesta" with ease and soulfulness. Added to the original album is a version of Max Roach's "Lonesome Lover" from the session.
