The theory is founded on the discrete nature of the transactional process which constitutes market activity. About the author: The author is a meteorologist who has applied his background in weather and climate forecasting to the stock market. He developed the long-range forecast system used by the Australian Bureau of Meteorology which successfully predicted the run of droughts through the 1990's in eastern Australia. He has developed a theoretical model which applies to statistically random series that are commonly found in geophysical, climatic, and economic data.
