During her inaugural trip to France in 2012, the American author experiences her first case of "love at first sight," but it's not a man that turns her head--it's a country. She falls in love with the villages, the dÃ©cor, food, wine and the lifestyle. Once back at home she becomes obsessed with the idea of owning her own place in France and begins her own vigilant search for a dream cottage.
