This Summer of Total War (Rise of the Confederacy Trilogy Book 2)
Reeling from the massive battle at Bowling Green, the North and South prepares for the next stage in the War Between the States.
On one side, Robert E. Lee prepares to launch a second invasion of the North, and this time, the much weakened Army of the Potomac may be unable to stop his victorious Army of Northern Virginia's steamrolling advance through their lands.
On the other side, the Army of the Potomac is charged with defeating Lee's rebel army. Although weakened, their new leader is unwilling to leave all strategies unused, even if it means launching a scorched earth policy against the Confederate Army.
And at the side-lines, two Presidents fight to keep their nations dreams alive. One will do anything to keep the United States united and the other is given his greatest chance for victory...but it might require sacrifices he's unwilling to give.
Continue to follow the story of an alternate version of the Civil War where a massive disaster in May 1863 forces both sides to fight dirty to win the war.
