In 2006 I went off grid and converted my double wide mobile home to solar power. I had to learn more about deep cycle batteries. I had to make some proper decisions on what type of batteries to use and what type of hardware to use. Sometimes there are difficult decisions to be made in any solar project. On a smaller scale, this e-book can also assist you in a typical solar project, such as converting a work shop, cabin and water well to solar power.

After I went off grid, I shortly converted my mom's travel trailer to solar power. I included a last "bonus chapter" on this conversion process. I explain what equipment I used and how to calculate loads, battery bank capacity and the proper solar panel wattage for the RV conversion.
