It's been many years since Marcus Roberts and Wynton Marsalis went into the studio together so this CD represents a very special collaboration. It took place on Roberts' home territory in Tallahassee, FL. One of the many high points of this recording is their version of 'Mack the Knife'-Wynton Marsalis at this best. Several classic Marcus Roberts' compositions are included, from a bebop styled version of 'The Duo' to a profoundly spiritual yet modern piece, 'The Feeling of Something New'.
