- HANDCRAFTED- Wooden Swedish Dala Horses are handcrafted by Sweden district's most skilled woodcarvers refining the Dala horse into its final shape with the help of the mora knife. The carved horse is then dipped in two coats of primer. To find any irregularities, it is inspected and filled, and sanded. Then it is time for the final dip before the horse is ready for the unique hand painting.
- CAREFULLY SELECTED- Dala Horse’s wood is carefully selected at the local sawmill, and the best pine timber is selected. Then the selected pieces are planned and a template is stamped on. Then the shape of the horses is sawn out, first roughly and then freely in the band saw.
