People around the world finally have the chance to read the fascinating life story of “a legend of his time, "world renowned Master Tsutomu Ohshima [born in Nagasaki 1930] Master Ohshima began Martial Arts training when he was 3 years old, practicing Sumo, Judo, and Kendo, and from age 18 [1948] practicing Karate at Waseda University under the direct guidance of Master Gichin Funakoshi. Master Funakoshi was the first Karateka to introduce Karate in Tokyo at the beginning of the 1920s. In 1955, in turn, Master Ohshima was first to introduce and teach Karate in the United States, a few years later in France and eventually worldwide.
