Convenient stand for more resonance from your djembe. Dancing Drum's drum stands are original, custom designs. These stands are guaranteed to fit the Dancing Drum Signature Series drums. They are made of 2 interlocking pieces of plywood, which come apart and can be stacked flat for storage or easy transport. Tycoon Percussion originally developed these djembe stands to lift djembes up off the floor so that the bass sound could escape from the bottom of the drum. Tycoon found that many of the kids it's representatives were working with had a hard time holding their djembes at a tilt and playing at the same time. Tycoon stands provide a simple and efficient solution, supporting the drum several inches off the floor, and providing a level playing surface. Although Tycoon Percussion developed these stands for kids, it found that they are great for adults, too. The stands fit loosely enough that the drum can still be tilted while playing. Tycoon stands are simple and efficient--they raise your djuns off the floor so they sound better, and the set of 3 djuns on stands creates a level playing surface without the hassle of ropes or hooks. They are super stable, and the drums "float" on their rings so the skin is not damaged by the stand. The regular stand for the 9" djembe is best suited for children seated in youth-sized chairs. The larger stand stand fits both the 11" and the 13" Dancing Drum Signature Series djembes. The stands break down easily to fit in the Dancing Drum Djembe Bag pocket.
