Seeking a job for the summer, Jessica is relieved, if hesitantly, to receive a position as a tutor for a wealthy political family. She looks forward to practicing her skills as she works with Dari, a young girl who lost her eyesight two years previously. Upon arriving at the small town, however, she faces an eerie combination of familiarity and secrecy among the people there.
While the tight-knit group is initially inviting and endearing, over time, Jessica notices that some seem aware of minute, intimate details about her while others appear profoundly offended by her presence in the mansion. A recurring nightmare keeps her on edge as she navigates the complexities of the insular community and her new role within it.
The strange and dramatic events that follow ultimately lead her to question not only the motives and intentions of those around her but also her own.
