Released in 1987, only a year after Gossip, Under the Sun captured the Coloured Girls - soon to become known as the Messengers - at their rocking best. Kelly and his Girls had been performing solidly for two years when they came to record this sprightly set of new songs. Among them were a couple of hits, to Her Door and Dumb Things. The second track, Same Old Walk - which the band always used as their show opener at the time - was a favourite among fans even before the album was released.
