The set-list of course featured a number of cuts from this record, however the show was also notable for its wide selection of Aerosmith classics, taken from virtually every album the band had put out to date. The venue for this startling gig was Hampton Virginia's Civic Centre, a concert hall with a capacity of 10,000 - Aerosmith had sold it out with ease. This period in the band's history might be thought of as their heyday; a time when Aerosmith were selling more records than they ever had previously, when their gigs were in larger halls than had been necessary before and when award after award was forthcoming, heavy rotation on MTV was par for the course and, it would appear, the group could do no wrong. This CD most certainly provides all the evidence necessary to understand why all this was the case.
