This release is the latest installment in Federico Guglielmos cycle of Vivaldis complete Opus 1-12, and includes the twelve violin concertos, also known as La Cetra. The work is dedicated to Charles VI, the holy Roman Emperor of the Hapsburg empire. As in Vivaldis other works like LEstro Armonico and La Stravaganza, these concertos are full of virtuosic writing, brilliant runs, and exude the style of the first Viennese School. This Vivaldi cycle conceived by Federico Guglielmo and performed by LArte dellArco is considered one of the most exciting in decades. Infectious joy, improvisatory flair and an instinct for Vivaldis language. (BBC3) technically impressive and musically engaging (Musicweb)
