Directed by Haifaa Al-Mansour, Wadjda's story is set in Saudi Arabia and focuses on the experiences of a young girl, Wadjda, who challenges her country's rules when she starts raising money to buy a green bicycle to beat her friend Abdullah in a race. Acclaimed composer Max Richter (Vivaldi Recomposed, The Congress) scores this humanistic tale. The music is energetic with a strong Middle Eastern influence.
