This was the last record the self-proclaimed 'flower-punk' band did for Bomp!, as they soon departed for a one-off at In the Red before packing up again to join the hipster kids at Vice (where they currently reside). Instead of sprinkling reverb and moments of hysteria on top of their low maintenance pop as they do now, the Lips throw it all in a bag that's ready to inhale at a split-secord's notice. We Did Not Know... is the last true artifact of the band's early sound.
