If the plugs in your 6.9L have a rounded "bullet" style electrical terminal instead of the wide spade style shown in the pictures, then you have an engine produced during the transition period between the 6.9L and the 7.3L idi. If this is the case, you will need to order the plugs for the 7.3L idi. These updated plugs offer a noticeable improvement in cold weather starting. They get 100 degrees hotter and do it in 20% less time than the oem plugs. These plugs noticeably improve cold weather starting! Check out the test results of the side-by-side comparison pictures.
