CD/two DVD set. During the 90s, it seemed as if it was mandatory for rappers to have an arch rival that they battled with in the press and on record - Dr. Dre and Eazy-E, the Notorious B.I.G. and 2Pac, and especially Nas and Cormega. Like the other aforementioned rivalries, Nas and Cormega were originally allies, as they grew up as friends in Queensbridge. When Cormega went to prison for a spell, Nas` Rap career took off, and by the time both were reunited in the mid-90s, the duo planned to form an outfit called the Firm. Before a recording could be issued, Cormega was ousted from the project (replaced by another rapper, Nature), which prompted the public feud. Cormega issued several well-received singles, and even recorded an album for the Violator label. For reasons unknown, Cormega`s completed debut, The Testament, was never released, although it became an underground hit as a bootleg.
