Digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of albums from the singer, songwriter and producer: A Wizard A True Star and Todd, both released in 1973. A Wizard, A True Star is Rundgren's Psychedelic masterpiece. By his own admission written and recorded under the influences of Psychedelic drugs, the album features two LP side-long streams of consciousness, all segued together. The 12 tracks on the original side one veer from electronic fanfares to Heavy Metal to Pop ballads to Jazz Rock to Vaudeville. Side two is more soulful, including the classic 'Sometimes I Don't Know What To Feel' and a 10-minute Soul medley. The album Todd was an expansion of his experimentation on A Wizard, A True Star. It showed his growing interest in the synthesizer, and its ability to expand the textures of Rock music. Much of the album is intensely experimental, although there are still some great Pop moments.
