Try this great woodturning project kit and create your own ceramic peeler on your lathe.The WoodRiver Ceramic Vegetable Peeler Turning Kit features a heavy-duty casting that holds the ultra-sharp peeler blade made from zirconium oxide ceramic, which is second only to diamonds in hardness while remaining sharper longer than any steel. Using a 3/4" x 3/4" x 5 blank, bore a 1/4"-diameter hole 7/8" deep. Mount the blank between centers, turn to your desired profile, apply a finish of your choice, attach the peeler and begin peeling.
