Hold Fasts for woodworking. Built for standard 3/4" hole. These are hand forged out of 5/8" solid round bar Ideal for 1-1/2" or thicker bench top. If you have specific requirements we can customize some aspects of these. Woodworkers in Santa Fe, NM buy them from me and love them. Approximately 4-1/2" throat and 12" from top of arc to end of shaft. One recommendation I had was to texture the shaft. I leave them unpolished, but I do not texture. Feel free to modify them as you wish. Some people do rough them with sand paper. These are of forged steel (they will not break like the chinese cast iron) and at a significantly lower cost than even those of well known high quality tool makers such as Lie Nielson.
