Works outdoors in direct sunlight only. Does not charge up or store energy. It will spin instantly when sunlight hits the panel and stop instantly at night or if a cloud goes over. If you find a spot with a lot of sun it will spin most of the day.

Protect the motor from resistance by using a string or swivel.
