IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE IN PART NUMBER NOMENCLATURE BETWEEN MILSPECWEST AND COMTRONIC MICRO CIRCULAR CONNECTORS Comtronic uses the "B" designator for a PLUG shell with a SOCKET insert , ie CMR-O2-B-04S as well as the "B" designator for an IN-LINE RECEPTACLE shell with a PIN insert, ie CMR-O2-B-04P. Milspecwest offers the PLUG shell with EITHER a SOCKET insert OR a PIN insert, so the B designator on MSW part numbers ALWAYS refers to a PLUG shell, ie MSW-G-B-04S and MSW-G-B-04P - both PLUGS. Milspecwest uses the "R" designator for IN-LINE RECEPTACLES, again, with either a SOCKET insert or a PIN insert, ie MSW-G-R-04P or MSW-G-R-04S both In-Line Receptacles.
