- This is the kind of black powder horn just like the mountain men carried as they pushed the frontier westward, fighting Indians and grizzly bears along the way.
- A powder horn was a container for Gunpowder. Made of 100% Solid Horn, Size: 11 Inch, Regardless of Material or Shape, For which powder flask is the strictly correct term
- The wooden end cap is carefully cut to fit the open end of the horn and after drilling through the pointed end is provided with a tightly fitting plug which is pulled out for loading powder into a muzzle loading shotgun, musket or flintlock rifle.
